Transference is a creative community project  culminating over 5 years of artistic research
within to present collective knowledge within the trans* and two-spirit community, addressing
existential topics of authenticity, freedom, choice, death, freewill, guilt and meaning.

“As an artistic experiment, we conducted countless interviews to explore senses, unexplainable
experiences and symbolism within my community to test the limits of communication through the void,
imagination to imagination. In these conversations I was tasked as artist/interviewer to translate the
personal perspectives, stories and concepts of those I interviewed into visual language.”

Transference is the 132 page, full-colour art book cataloguing this process, including artwork, essay
transcriptions and critical essays to further delve into the experiment.

should be, in a society where many forget we can choose differently. The burden of responsibility
